Scuba diving on the Costa Blanca
Just as most of Spain, the Costa Blanca can be an ideal place to base your scuba diving holiday or even obtain your first qualifications.
The visibility in this part of the Mediterranean Sea is very good, especially at the locations further away from the coast like at La Llosa and the island of Benidorm. There, visibility of 20 to 40 meters approx. 65 to 130ft is quite normal. There are, of course, days with heavy seas but these are rare and there are plenty of dive sites to choose from so you should find at lease one with calm seas.
Nearly all of the centres mentioned below offer the best and most up-to-date equipment with courses in scuba diving tutored by qualified instructors who normally speak at least one language other then Spanish - usually English and/or German and French. In addition, most offer equipment sales, service and rental, tank filling, and much more.
